Exhibition Description

Finding a Pathway Home is a collection of work exploring the meaning of home and the journey of coming home to oneself as a bodily centered practice. Through wood, sculpture, painting, photography, and collage the artist examines the self and the importance of home as a theoretical concept as well as an ever changing place. The line between mind and body and human and nature is blurred in the works as the artist challenges the disconnection between them. Considering the elements which make up one’s identity; family, socialization, place, the body and intergenerational trauma are investigated. Both physical and intangible pathways are represented, encouraging viewers to navigate them throughout the exhibition.
